I stayed at Escarpa for a week and it was amazing! The breathtaking views and mesmerizing sunsets made my stay extra special. The hosts were incredibly accommodating when I arrived early. Everything from the comfortable bed to the clean and bright decor was top-notch. The kitchenette in the room was a bonus, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff, from the owner to the gardener, were genuine, hardworking, and friendly. The peaceful ambiance and team spirit made it a truly relaxing experience. I highly recommend Escarpa as one of the best places to stay in Madeira.

The view from this hotel is definitely stunning, especially during sunset. You can hear the sound of the waves crashing in the background, which makes it incredibly peaceful. The banana trees at the entrance add a nice touch and it was a treat to have fresh bananas picked by the staff offered to guests. there is private parking available some distance from the property.

The breakfast leaves much to be desired compared to the price point of this hotel. The portions are small and the quality of the bread and croissants was poor, often several days old and poorly stored.
